Happy Thanksgiving (or Columbus Day)

The weather has cooled off quickly...in fact my basil plants got hit with frost last night (before I managed to make pesto), oh well.  Cool evenings mean the return of fires in the woodstove (with the dog hogging all the heat).

We have a long weekend for Thanksgiving and I think we are going to have a house full of guests too.  Scott's best friend and his wife are driving here from Ottawa and staying overnight Saturday and we always seem to have at least one extra teenager so I went to Costco last night and stocked up.

This afternoon I got my haircut, vacuumed up some dog hair, made up the guest room with clean sheets, cleaned the bathrooms and made an apple pie.  The wine is chilling and I'm ready for the festivities....Happy Thanksgiving!
